Privacy Policy

Effective August 26, 2026. BiteBien is designed to collect only what is needed to provide the features you choose to use.

Free use and accounts

You may use BiteBien Free without creating an account. If you create an account or start a paid trial or subscription, BiteBien may store your name, email identifier, profile preferences, Personal Plan inputs, favorites, meal history, notification preferences, scan results and subscription entitlement so these features can remain associated with your account.

Meal photos and AI analysis

If you choose BiteBien AI Scan, the selected camera or library image is compressed on your device and sent securely for AI analysis. BiteBien may also send relevant goal and profile context so the response can be tailored. OpenAI processes the image to return estimated foods, portions, calories and macronutrients. BiteBien does not retain the meal image in its own storage by default; resulting estimates and corrections may be stored under your account.

Authentication and cloud data

BiteBien uses Supabase for account authentication and cloud data. Password authentication is handled by the authentication provider; BiteBien's application tables do not store your plaintext password.

Apple subscriptions

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. BiteBien stores the minimum transaction and entitlement identifiers needed to verify and associate paid access with your account. BiteBien does not receive your full payment-card details.

Notifications

Meal and fasting reminders are optional. BiteBien may send fasting-start and fasting-completion notifications when you enable them. You can disable them in BiteBien or iPhone Settings. Reminder preferences may be synced to your account.

Health information

BiteBien provides general wellness guidance and visual estimates. It is not a medical service and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

Your choices

You may clear local app data, sign out, or request or delete your BiteBien account. Deleting a BiteBien account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions are managed through your Apple account.
